10 MINUTES Creating your blog
Your blog will be your own personal site to present your digital work. Follow the tutorial below to set up your blog. Please ask if you have any questions along the way!
Important: make a note of your login details
and your new blog address so you don't forget them!
A list will go round for you to write your new blog address and your email address down so we can invite you to the lesson blog and link it to your blog.

Create a Blog Using Blogger - Tutorial 2013

15 MINUTES Scanning and exploring the Visual Arts Blog
Small groups will come up to the scanner to be instructed on 'how to', if you are not at the scanner you should explore the Visual Arts Blog! Why not check out the animation we made about it back when we first started them too?...
15 MINUTES Uploading videos, image and inserting links to a post
Watch the teacher demonstration on the smart board to see how to create a post and add images, videos, text and insert hyperlinks! You will begin to create your post during the demonstration so if you have any questions just ask!

15 MINUTES Making your blog look beautiful (and professional!)
Your blog is like a digital version of your sketchbook so it's important that it looks visually appealing and is also representative of you as a designer. It's also important for it to look professional so you need to consider the font, colour and layout that you use - for example green text on a red background isn't the easiest on the eyes, so you might want to go for something a little tamer than that!

Click on 'Design' at the top of the page, then select 'Template' from the list on the left and then the orange 'Customise' button to take you into the design options.

View the options list on the left to see all the design options:

The 'Advanced' option is where you can change all the colours, fonts and other things that really create your look!
Plenary: 10 MINUTES Blogging Review
Class discussion about blogging, how you feel about it and how you've found todays lesson!
