Bite the Ballot: Own artist research

Lesson aims:

To ensure you are up to date with your project and understand the requirements of brief and work needed
To discuss what posters you like and how that is going to relate to your final outcome
To receive half term homework and guidance on how to complete it successfully

Starter:
Group discussion on the project so far. Self assess your books and record your findings on your formative feedback sheet in the back of your books (those with out one will be handed one).

In the column entitled 'Learner feedback' write a list of reactions to all of the following questions:

WHERE am I? Have you completed all the tasks required?
WHERE am I going? What tasks do you need to do before your interim assessment (on first Monday back).
HOW am I going to get there? What information do you need to make sure you can complete the tasks required?

Main Task:
After your moodboard (which should be done by now and MUST be in your books by Friday) complete an analysis on an artist your your choice.  This artist analysis will be related to your final VISUAL ideas. Choose from the images and list below and answer the questions on the sheet above.

 Filippo Marinetti (founder of futurist movement and influential typographic artist)

  Tony Cragg (Contemporary fine art sculptor)

 Aleksandr Rodchenko (influencial photographer and graphic artist)
