STARTER- 10mins
Introduction to the 15 artists allocated to the macs in the resource area. For the next part of this project you must design a doodle for one of these artists.
Group Discussion- How many do you know? What are they know for creating? Describe their work!
Create a new Pinterest board called 'Visual Arts Doodle'. The above artists must be researched and 5 images pinned for each with a note added including the following information-

- Title of the work
- Short reason why you chose it- ie colour, composition, content, shape etc
You will need this research next lesson to help you to make an informed choice for which artist you'll design for.

LESSON 2
STARTER- 10mins
Choosing your artist! Write your top 3 choices on a post-it note. We'll compile a list on the board and note everyone's 1st choices. If more than one person choose the same artist we'll consider 2nd and 3rd choices.
TASK 1- Word Clouds 20mins
Compile a word cloud for your chosen artist using this link-http://www.abcya.com/word_clouds.htm
Print out your cloud and present it in your book. Whilst researching for your word cloud you should consider collecting images for your moodboard (see below).
TASK 2- Moodboard 20mins
Present a select of images to represent your artist. You can include images of their work but also put it into context with images of their home country, news stories etc.
