Google Doodle Week 9- Final mock up drawings, using materials & techniques

LESSON 1

STARTER

In the pairs (or group of 3) that you were in during the 10 minute review last lesson, discuss your review of your experimentation so far that you completed for homework. How did you get on? Can you offer any help?

TASK - Prepare to present your design idea 45 mins

Having drawn out initial ideas for your design, now work towards having a design to present to the group in tomorrows lesson.

Use the mac screen template provided to create a mock-up of your design. Use the space around to annotate. Show that you've thought about the following:

1. Composition of 'Visual Arts' (in one line, 'Arts' in a 2nd line below or other to fit with artist)

2. Placement of text with imagery

3. How much space your design will take up on the screen

4. Background (colour, pattern?)

PLENARY

What problems might you have completing your final design outcome? Make a note of any problems you may have in the back of your book and we'll discuss them next lesson.


LESSON 2

STARTER
Checklist update. Have you completed all your tasks?

TASK - Design exhibition
Everyone to stick their design up on the wall in a line so that we can see how they look together. Will they look good in the resource area all together? Any changes to make? 
As a group we'll discuss.

TASK - Design development
Continue to work on your design, making any changes as suggested by the group.

PLENARY 
Will the designs be completed on time or will you have any problems? Group discussion.

STARTER
Quick group discussion about the the scale template. 

TASK - Development of design
Experimenting with materials and techniques- painting, paper crafting etc. Digital camera available for recording work in progress.
