Bite The Ballot Week 2- Communicating to the Masses Evaluation

Lesson Aims: This unit is all about how you communicate and how others communicate.  Use this lesson and the next to: 

1 Collect pictures of your posters on site 
2 Write a visual evaluative report of what you have done
3 Catch up with any work missed - setting targets to proceed

Starter:
Use the first 15mins of the lesson to discuss the posters you produced as a group and record their use around college.

Main Task:
Write a visual evaluative report of what you have done, the brief asks that you:

1 Understand how media, materials and processes are used in others’ work to convey ideas and meaning
2 Be able to develop visual language
3 Know how art and design is used to communicate ideas and meaning

4 Be able to communicate by using the language of art and design
 Complete a 2 page evaluation that includes your picture and pictures of your main influence and the groups pictures on site.  Then answer the following questions:

  • What did you intend to communicate?
  • What materials, media and processes did you use?
  • Describe your visual language, what imagery did you use? (USE YOUR 6 PRINCIPLES OF DESIGN SHEETS TO HELP YOU) 
  • How have you communicated your ideas?
  • How successful was your design?
