Lesson objectives: (This lessons objectives are self-reflective)

ON ARRIVAL TASK:

Go to your pathway groups:TEXTILES, GRAPHICS, FINE ART AND ILLUSTRATION and Open your sketchbook up to your mind maps and initial design ideas.

LESSON OBJECTIVES: in this lesson you will:

1 Peer assess in your personal pathway groups each others current ideas, documenting feedback on ideas in your sketchbooks under 'peer review' on your design ideas pages.
2 Broaden your peer assessment, in groups of two, to assess the sketchbook of your partner.

3 Develop your ideas further, using all the peer feedback you have received to progress your ideas, to meet UNIT:1 objective:4 and 5 and UNIT:2 objectives: 1,2 &3

4 Review your ideas and set research targets to achieve by next lesson 

STARTER: 10mins Peer Feedback on ideas

Peer assess in your groups each others current ideas, documenting feedback on ideas in you sketchbooks under 'peer review' on your design ideas pages.

TASK:1 10mins Peer Feedback on sketchbook

Broaden your peer assessment, in groups of two, to cover the sketchbook of your partner.
Maybe consider the following UNIT:1 and 2 Objectives:

UNIT:1

1          Know how to identify sources for visual recording

2          Be able to record visually

3          Understand visual recording in others’ work

4          Understand own visual recording

5          Be able to develop visual recording to produce outcomes

UNIT:2

1          Be able to explore materials, techniques and processes safely

2          Be able to use materials, techniques and processes

3          Understand the suitability of materials, techniques and processes

TASK:2 30mins Develop your ideas further, 
Using all the peer feedback you have received you now need to progress your ideas further to meet UNIT:1 objective:4 and 5 and UNIT:2 objectives: 1,2 &3.  As you develop your ideas you must record your findings and fill out the materials and applications sheet, recording your intensions in use of materials, techniques and processes.

Extension tasks:

Use own designs to extend to other pathways, how would or design look on a wall, a t-shirt or a menu?

Review your ideas in a self reflective plenary, by setting yourself research targets to achieve by next lesson and to complete your materials list.
